James Day Obituary, Death Cause – James Daniel Day was born on the 14th of August in the year 1957 in the city of Bath, Maine. On the 26th of May, 2023, he died away without any pain or suffering in the Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He loved his country and was a genuine Patriot, and he served his country honorably in the United States Air Force, rising to the rank of Airman First Class throughout his time in the military.
He received his master’s degree in accounting from Strayer University and served as the financial director of the Morehouse Parish Head Start (MCIO) for more than three decades after graduating from that institution. Reading, going fishing, and camping were some of his favorite pastimes. James was also well-known for his creative abilities, particularly in the fields of cross-stitching and poem writing.
His wife and children were the source of tremendous happiness for him, and he will be remembered for all time as a dedicated husband, father, and grandpa. On Wednesday at 12:30 p.m., we will gather at the Cox Funeral Home, which is located at 611 N. Washington Street in Bastrop, Louisiana 71270. There, we will raise flags in honor of this Hero and his Family. We will be stationed at the entrance, where we will meet family and friends and distribute flags. Following the conclusion of this Hero 2 P.M. Service, during which the United States Air Force will provide military honors, we will sign a card and a flag that will be delivered to the family.
