Mile High Shooting, Leaves 1 Dead In Southeast Missouri
Mile High Shooting – On Sunday, a shooting incident took place in Kennett, and as a result, one person lost their life as a result of the incident. There was a police officer involved in the event. At present time, an investigation into the event is being conducted by the state police. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the Kennett police department reached out to the MSHP for assistance in investigating the incident. This information was provided by the MSHP.
After responding to an alarm at a neighboring business, the Maryland State Highway Patrol notified the Kennett Police Department that one of its officers was engaged in a foot pursuit with a suspect. This occurred while the troopers were on their way to the scene of the alert. After that, the two of them got into an altercation with each other that quickly turned heated. Following that, the officer reportedly fired his gun, as determined by the inquiry conducted by the MSHP.
The finding obtained by the coroner for Dunklin County is that the suspect/victim was already dead when they got at the site of the crime. This was the conclusion made by the coroner. At this moment, the inquiry is being led by the Drug and Crime Control Division of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, which is the organization that is responsible for conducting the investigation.
