Glenn Handy Obituary, Resident Of North Adams Has Died

Glenn Handy Obituary, Death Cause – On May 27, 2023, Glenn L. Handy, who had reached the age of 80 years old and had been a resident of North Adams all his life, passed away at Drews County Living in Hillsdale. The 26th of February, 1943 found him being brought into the world in Adrian, Michigan. His parents were Leroy Handy and Grace (Deck) Handy. Isabelle Lee and Glenn tied the knot on August 26, 1967, and she outlived her husband by three years, passing away on November 5, 2022.

Glenn’s first employment was at McKenzie’s Auto Sales in North Adams, where he was in charge of cleaning and polishing vehicles. It was there that he gained experience in the automotive industry. After spending a significant period of time working for the Bose Corporation in Hillsdale, he eventually obtained a position with Seagate Plastics in Jackson and remained there until the time of his retirement. He worked there until he was able to retire. When Glenn was on his CB radios, he used to go by the call sign “Rocky Squral,” and he always had a great time doing so. Some of his favorite things to do in his spare time included going fishing, watching westerns featuring John Wayne, riding motorcycles, and maintaining them.

Survivors include four sons, David (Autumn), Brian, Charles and Daniel (Kristin) Handy, all of North Adams; eight grandchildren, Jessica (Austin) Gordon, Dakota Hawkins, Kyle Handy, Kaila Handy, Tanner Handy, Damian Moor, Marissa Moor, and Cheyenne Lofton; eight great-grandchildren, Dean, David, Isabella, Eli, Ryleigh, Dyson, Phoenix, and Charlotte; and four sisters, Lucille, Francis, Marsha, and Becky; and three brothers, Mike, Jim, and George. Glenn’s parents, his sister Donna, and his brother Robert all passed away before him. He was the last surviving member of his family. Before she went away, he had been married to the same woman for 55 years before she died.
