Donna Hodge Obituary, Death Cause – Donna Hodge Born in Paw Paw, Illinois on September 16th, 1935 Having passed away on May 28th, 2023 in Mendota, Illinois At the age of 87, Donna M. Hodge, who resided in Shabbona, died away at Heritage Health in Mendota on Sunday, May 28, 2023. She became the daughter of Oscar and Mabel (Stroyan) Eich on September 16, 1935, and she was born in Paw Paw. In 1955, she tied the knot with Arlen Winterton. 1970 was the year when he passed away before she did. After thereafter, in 1974, she tied the knot with John Hodge. He passed away in 2021, a year before she did. In 1990, Donna took her retirement from her position at Farmers and Traders State Bank.

She cherished time spent with her family, particularly her grandkids and great-grandchildren, as well as time spent caring to her flower garden in the fresh air and sunshine. She was a teacher at the First Lutheran Church in Lee, where she was also a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Compton, both of which are located in the city of Compton. Donna is survived by three children, Diane Harrington, Dean (Penny) Winterton, and Suzanne Delhotal; nine grandchildren, Jessica (Jason Zimpel) Harrington, Jennifer (Cody) Ring, Joel Harrington, Deanne (Budd) Phelps, Drew Winterton, Kari (Jeremie) Wagner, Greg Delhotal, Kimberly (Brent) Ewald, and Ashley (Ryan Mattison) Delhotal; 7 great-grandchildren; and two step-daughters, Cynthia (Steven).

On June 3, 2023, at 2:30 p.m., the funeral ceremony will be held at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Compton, which is located at 398 Church Road. Pastor Michael Hodge will officiate the event. The church will be open for visitation beginning at 12:30 PM and continuing up to the time of the service. The funeral service will be followed by interment at the First Lutheran Cemetery in Lee. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations honoring Donna’s life may be sent to her family in the form of a gift to be used toward the creation of a monument.
