Andrew Walker Obituary, Boise State Football Member Has Died
Andrew Walker Obituary, Death Cause – Andrew Walker has died. With sorrow in our hearts, we both share On Sunday, a graduate assistant in football operations named Andrew Walker went tragically at the age of 23. Additionally, Drew has dedicated his time as the promotions director at KHCA, Angel 95 FM, in Manhattan, Kansas, for the past 30 years. It was out of his passion to spread modern Christian music throughout Northeast Kansas that he decided to start the Solid Rock Sound Machine.
His association with Angel 95 was a wonderful fit for this, and over the years he has played significant supporting roles in a variety of Christian concert events, the March for Jesus, and a wide variety of other outreach activities. DJ Drew was very active in many community activities and charity events, including Relay for Life, Purple Stride for Pancreatic Cancer, Topeka MS Walk, the Great Plains Balloon Club’s Huff-N-Puff Balloon Rally, and many other groups. In addition to providing entertainment and planning guidance for weddings and other private celebrations, DJ Drew was also a member of the military and served in the United States Air Force.
Because he eagerly accepted opportunities to perform at gatherings centered on dogs and other pets, people began to refer to him as “the Doggie DJ.” His closest pals were those who lived in the community for people with special needs. The annual Spring Dance was held at the “home away from home” that he and Karen referred to as the Big Gage Shelter in Gage Park in Topeka. This shelter was funded by Shawnee County Parks and Recreation.
