Trop Rock Obituary, Death  Cause – A day spent at Trop Rock that was nothing but agony. In case you weren’t aware of this, Tom Klinker, the person who is credited with creating the phrase “Superfan,” passed away yesterday evening. We decided to call him “House Concert Tom” since Gina and I first met him at a home concert, and Tom and Nancy traveled approximately 500 miles to be there. since of this, we decided to give him the moniker “House Concert Tom.” Yes, 500 kilometers for a standard house concert that lasted for only one night and had only one performance.

Tom lost his valiant battle against pancreatic cancer on May 27 in the evening, after a lengthy and arduous fight against the disease. Tom was a keen follower of the musicians who played tropical rock music as well as the genre itself. His absence will undoubtedly be felt by a great number of people. There is not a shred of doubt in our minds that he is presently sitting in the front row of heaven taking in an amazing concert of tropical rock, or perhaps he is watching a football game with the Florida Gators.

If I’m being absolutely honest, I initially used the term “stalker,” but Gina said that was nasty. In addition to this, he was a “superfan” of the University of Florida Gators football team and went to each and every game that they played over a span of several decades. When attending house concerts or punk rock events, it was practically impossible not to spot Tom sitting in the front row and taking shots of the singers on stage.
