Patricia Cronin Obituary, Death Cause – Patricia A. Cronin 1933 – 2022 Wilbraham On August 18, 2022, at the age of 89, Patricia A. (Montagano) Cronin died away in a calm and serene manner while surrounded by her devoted family. Pat Montagano was the daughter of the late Joseph and Henrietta (Peterson) Montagano, and she was born and raised in Brockton, Massachusetts. She began her education at St. Patrick’s High School in Brockton, Massachusetts, then continued her education at St. Elizabeth’s School of Nursing in Brighton, Massachusetts.
She eventually received her diploma. Prior to taking early retirement, Pat had a long and successful career as a nurse, first at Mercy Hospital in Springfield and then at the American Red Cross. Pat wed the man who would later pass away from her life, Joseph Cronin, and the couple relocated to Springfield, Massachusetts together. There, they established new beginnings and reared their family.
She was a previous member of Holy Name Church in Springfield and St. Cecilia Church in Wilbraham, the latter of which she attended when she was serving as a Eucharistic Minister there. Pat is survived by her five devoted sons and the women they married: Michael and Lisa of Hampden, Massachusetts; Stephen and Kathleen of Ware, Massachusetts; Michael and Deborah of Summerfield, Florida; Thomas and Gina of Feeding Hills, Massachusetts; and Gregory and Leah of Southwick, Massachusetts.
She also leaves behind her thirteen cherished grandchildren who provided her much joy and happiness: Thomas (Aine), Brian (Alison), Daniel, Kelsey, Carly, Rory, Nicole, Michaela, Katelyn, Emma, Joseph, Margaret, and Sean; as well as her three great-grandchildren: Clementine, Sydney, and Colin. She also leaves behind her husband, who brought her much joy and happiness. In addition, Pat is survived by her cherished sister Barbara Carney of Cummaquid, Massachusetts, as well as her three nieces named Marybeth, Kathleen, and Alison.
