Marty Pederson Obituary, Marty Pederson Has Passed Away
Marty Pederson Obituary, Death Cause – If you have not already heard, Mr. Pederson, the music teacher at Woodland Elementary School, passed away earlier this year as a result of difficulties stemming from a car accident that occurred earlier in the year. Because our 4K students did not participate in specials like music or art, and because Mr. Pederson was not yet their teacher, we have not discussed this topic in our classroom, nor do we intend to do so in the near future.
On Friday, a letter was delivered to the homes of all Woodland families; however, given that there was no school on Monday, we wanted to double check that you had gotten the information. Mr. Pederson was a much-loved member of our staff and maintained close relationships with a large number of coworkers as well as their families. It was decided that just the elementary school buildings will be closed on Tuesday, the day of his funeral, so that staff members can be present at the ceremony. His funeral will be place this coming Tuesday. Both the Middle School and the High School will continue to be open, and lessons will be held as regularly scheduled.
