Kermit Breaux Obituary, Death, Funeral And Visitation
Kermit Breaux Obituary, Death Cause – Kermit Leonard Breaux, 72 years old, a native of Houma, Louisiana, and a longtime citizen of the city, passed away in a calm and serene manner on May 24, 2023. On Wednesday, May 31, 2023, family and friends are invited to Holy Rosary Catholic Church for a visitation in his honor from 9:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will be held in his honor. After the service, burial will take place at the church cemetery.
Kermit was a wonderful patriarch to his children and grandchildren. After he retired, one of his favorite things to do was carve ducks and other kinds of birds out of wood. He would enter his creations into contests and end up winning a lot of honors for them. Kermit cherished spending time with his family while fishing for bass in the great outdoors. He had a kind and friendly nature for all people, and he never knew a stranger. Everyone who knew and loved him will grieve his passing in a profound way. It is an honor for Chauvin Funeral Home to serve the Breaux family in their time of need.
His family includes his son, Kyle Breaux (and his wife, Robyn), his daughter, Erin Detiveaux (and her husband, Jaime), his brother, Daniel Breaux (and his wife, Dana), his sisters, Colette Dupre and Bonnie Burgess (and their husbands, Billy), his granddaughters, Ava and Max Detiveaux, and his step-grandson, Hunter Lirette. His parents, Howard and Jeanette Breaux, as well as his devoted wife of 43 years, Stephanie Breaux, passed away before him. He was the only survivor of his immediate family.
