His grandparents Christopher Ausland and Grace Smith, his parents, Christopher Ausland and Grace Smith, his nephew RJ Durham, his former wife Linda Rasberry, and his present wife Carol Scott all predeceased him. His wife, Carol Scott, is the sole survivor of him. He is survived by his children Eric Ausland and Kristy Ausland, his ex-wives Connie Schleiger and Connie Ausland, his sisters Sylvia Holdridge and Gayle Durham, and his nephew Christopher Durham. Additionally, he was the uncle of a man named Christopher Durham.
