Doroteo Irlandez Obituary, Death Cause – Mr. Doroteo P. Cruz, a resident of Santa Fe, New Mexico, passed away on September 21st, 2012 after a long battle with illness. Before he did, his great-grandparents Doroteo Cruz and Matilda Cruz, his granddaughter Jenae Gallegos, and his sister-in-law Vanessa Cruz all passed away. Doroteo was born on April 14th, 1941 in the town of Chimayo, in the state of New Mexico. He grew up in this town.

As a Procurement Specialist for the state of New Mexico, he put in the better part of three decades of his life in service to the state. He cherished the time he got to spend with his family and was extremely enthusiastic about both the sport of football and the hobby of refinishing furniture. In each of the roles that he played within the family — son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather — he was known for his warm and kind nature.

He is survived by his daughter Sandra Gallegos, his son-in-law Tim Gallegos, his grandsons Jordan and Joel Gallegos, his brothers Celedon, Niam, Jacob, Nelson, and Toby Cruz, his sister Concha Flores, and a huge number of other extended family members, friends, and acquaintances. His daughter Sandra Gallegos, his son-in-law Tim Gallegos, and his grandchildren Jordan and Joel Gallegos all survive him.

On September 25, 2012, there was a visitation for the person who had passed away. A memorial service was held on September 26, 2012 for a person who had passed away the previous day. Both of the ceremonies took place in the Christian Life Fellowship in Santa Fe, which was the city’s site. After the service, the burial took place at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in the appropriate location. The following people have volunteered to act as pallbearers for the funeral: Nathan Cruz, Reyes Cruz, Mark Cruz, Beno Flores, Cel Cruz Jr., Jacob Flores, and Levi Caples. The honorary roles of casket bearers will be filled by Jordan Gallegos and Joel Gallegos.
