Diane Miller Obituary, Death Cause – in the age of 86, Diane S. Miller of Jesup, Iowa passed away in the UnityPoint-Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa on the 26th of May, 2023. At 10:30 in the morning on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, private family ceremonies will be held at the graveside, and the burial will take place in Cedar Crest Cemetery in Jesup, Iowa. On Tuesday, May 30, 2023, the White Funeral Home in Jesup, Iowa will be hosting a public visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home’s chapel.
At the Union Church in Quasqueton, Iowa, on June 15, 1956, she wed John William Miller, and the ceremony took place in the United States. In the fall of 1958, they made the journey to Jesup, where they established their home and reared their family. At the Jesup Community Schools, where Diane worked as a teacher’s aide, she was also responsible for the lunchroom. She has a history of involvement with the Order of the Eastern Star and was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church in Jesup, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Jesup. Diane was the daughter of Clair C. Miller and Ester Delilah (Walter) Miller and was born on March 29, 1937 in Buchanan County, Iowa. Her mother’s maiden name was Walter. She received her high school diploma from Quasqueton and went on to study at Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Diane is survived by three sons, Steve (Marcie) Miller of Waterloo, Greg Miller and Bruce Miller both of Jesup; one son in law, Jeff Youngblut of Jesup; two sisters, Judy (Jack) Hynes of Debary, FL, Martha Miller of Daytona Beach, FL; one brother, J.C. (Patty) Miller of Bradenton, FL; 8 grandchildren, Kyle Miller, Brent (Emily) Miller, Mackenzie Miller, Hunter Miller, Mandee Miller, Emily Miller, Ryan Youngblut and Kelly Soppe; 8 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband John, her parents, one daughter, Cindy Youngblut, and one brother, Arch Miller, all passed away before she did. She is survived by her husband John.
