Thomas Davidson Obituary, Death Cause – Mr. Thomas Wesley “Pete” Davidson, who was 83 years old, passed away at his residence on Pleasant View Circle on May 25, 2023. He was laid to rest in the place reserved for the departed. The roles of pallbearers for the funeral will be taken up by Jason Quarles, Thomas Drew Davidson, Corey Rickerson, Levi Rickerson, Guy Sample, and Dustin Clark, respectively. Mr. Davidson was born on October 11, 1939, and he was the son of the late Clinton Clyde Davidson and the late Lucille Gray Davidson. Both of Mr. Davidson’s parents had passed away previously.
The late Mr. Davidson outlived both of his parents, although they both ended up passing away. Up to the time of his retirement, he had been employed for Georgia Iron Works as a machinist. T.W., affectionately referred to as “Pete” by his circle of friends and family, was an avid outdoorsman who delighted in activities such as fishing, hunting, and competing in horseshoe tournaments. He and his wife, Dorothy, had a lot of fun at the lake, in addition to spending time with his family at the lake by participating in gatherings such as barbecues and parties at the lake.
His devoted wife of 47 years, Dorothy “Dot” Davidson, as well as members of his children, Thomas Wesley Davidson, Jr. and wife, Candi of Augusta, GA., Linda Davidson Sparks and husband, Cletus of Augusta, Donna Rogers, Lee McClendon, Mike McClendon and wife, Suzanne, and Tina Sample all of Lincolnton; his sister, Juanita Coufal; eighteen grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren also survive him.
