Mae Wolfe Obituary, Mae Wolfe Has Passed Away

Mae Wolfe Obituary, Death Cause – On August 9, 2022, Marjorie M. Wolfe, who was 84 years old and lived in Loveland, Colorado, passed away. On October 31st, 1937, she was born in Leigh, Nebraska, to parents named Edward and Margaret Korte. Marj received her education in a local Leigh parochial school before going on to graduate from Leigh High School in 1955. After she received her degree, she spent the next five years working as a teacher in rural schools.

She wed Arthur L. Wolfe on August 9, 1958, and after their marriage they moved to Schuyler, Nebraska, where they ran a dairy farm. In 1970, they made the move to Loveland, Colorado, where Marj found employment at First National Bank for a period of 23 years and at CSU Foundation for a period of 6 years. Art went away in 1992, and after spending the subsequent nine years grieving on her alone, she wed Andrew L. Benke on September 15, 2001.

Marj was a devout Christian who cherished her relationship with her Lord, the people in her church community, her (vast) family, her friends, the hobby of crafting, playing cards, and having fun. She is survived by daughters Renata (Bob) Meusch of Loveland, Cindy Wolfe of Loveland, and Robin (Kevin) Kaltenbaugh of Kremmling, CO; grandchildren Derek (Ashley) Meusch and Cameron (Laura) Meusch; great-grandchildren Jeremiah Bourassa, Olivia Meusch, Ella Meusch, and Teddy Meusch; sister Irma Willman of Columbus, NE, along with several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by Lori, Shari, and Kelly, who were Andy’s daughters, and their respective families. Marj was predeceased by both of her husbands, her parents, three of her sisters, and both of her first husbands, Art Wolfe and Andy Benke.
