Lottie Clarke Obituary, Lottie Clarke Has Died

Lottie Clarke Obituary, Death Cause – Lottie Gray Clarke, who was 92 years old when she passed away on May 24, 2023, did so quietly in her sleep at home. She was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, on November 28th, 1931, to her doting parents, Robert Louis Fisher and Winnie Fisher. Her birthday is November 28th. Lottie was the epitome of compassion and giving, and she found her greatest source of happiness in the company of her cherished family.

She had a passion for hosting parties and would frequently have her friends and family over for barbecues at her house. One of her favorite things to do was shop, and she found purpose in her life by being an active member of the Women of Moose Chapter 1180 in Hopewell, Virginia, and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 284 in Colonial Heights, Virginia. Both chapters are located in the state of Virginia.

Her three devoted husbands, Edgar A. “E.A.” Clarke (who passed away in 2013), William Everett Pond (who passed away in 2001), and Edwin Guy Curtis (who passed away in 1974), as well as her cherished son, Robert Edwin “Bert” Curtis (who passed away in 1998), all passed away before Lottie. She is survived by her children, James L. Curtis and David Nelson Curtis Sr.; her four grandchildren, Elisa Curtis Winn (John Winn), James Guy Curtis (Rebecca Curtis), Jennifer Lynne Curtis (Blake Dryden), and David Nelson Curtis Jr. (Kylene Short-Curtis); and her eight great-grandchildren, Nathan Lee Dryden, Ryan David Curtis, Austin James Curtis, Zoey Kaylynn Curtis, Chloe Gray Winn, Samuel Edward Winn IV, Olive Elyse Short, and Landon James Winn. Lottie is survived by her devoted family as well as her beloved friends, especially Denise Strickland, Donna McCormick, and Helen Wagner. She will be greatly missed by all.
