Leonard Rieger Obituary, Death Cause – Leonard Rieger, who was 77 years old and originally from Rulo, Nebraska, died away on May 25, 2023 in Omaha, Nebraska. He was the son of Earl and Minta Carol (Fischer) Rieger and was born on June 13, 1945 in Falls City, Nebraska. On November 30th, 1969, the ceremony took place in Falls City. Susan Dunn was his bride. In Falls City, where he was stationed, Leonard was a member of Company B of the Nebraska National Guard. Leonard completed his high school education in 1963 after growing up on the family farm and going to Falls City High School. After that, he went to school for mechanics in Omaha, and after that, he went back to working at the Ford workshop. After that, he began working the land with his father on the family farm, which is celebrating its 150th year in the family’s ownership this year.
Additionally, he worked as a farmer for Benny and Randy Sickel in addition to Russell Heineman while also working for UPS. He had a lot of fun participating in the tractor pull contests at the state fair. In addition to being a part of the First United Methodist Church, where he served in a number of leadership capacities, as well as the Falls City Honor Guard and the Falls City Car Club, he was a member of these organizations. Leonard is survived by his wife, Susan, who he married in Rulo; their children, David and his wife Rachel of Mound City, Missouri, and Jennifer Strecker and her husband Nathan of Falls City; their sisters.
Sharon Comer of Omaha and Cathy Palmer and her husband Frank of Falls City; thirteen grandkids and nine great-grandchildren; and his wife, Susan, who he married in Rulo. His grandparents, his parents, and his sister Carolee Martin as well as a grandson named Terron Jones all passed away before him. His funeral will take place on May 30th, 2023 at 10:30 AM at First United Methodist Church, and Reverend Michael Brown will preside over the service. Steele Cemetery is going to be used for the interment. The Falls City Ceremonial Honor Guard will provide military honors at the burial service.
