Katie Campbell Obituary, Death Cause – Katie Campbell, who had lived in Conon Bridge before to moving to Ballifeary House in Inverness, passed away after a brief battle with sickness. She was a much-loved wife to Donald, mother to Iain, grandma to Lily and Ruaridh, sister to Duncan as well as the late Callum, Mary, and Donald John, aunty, and friend. A special thank you to everyone who works at the Ballifeary House. She departed this life to be with our Lord on September 3, 2020, two months before she would have become 97 years old.
Her family includes her husband, Philip Wesley Campbell, daughter Mary Jane Campbell Furr, and sister Mary Louise Holmes Caraway, all of whom passed away before her. Her descendants include a son named Philip Eugene Campbell and his wife Betty, a son named Robert Dale Campbell and his wife Patricia, and a brother named Walter E. Holmes and his wife Elizabeth. Christopher Campbell, Tracy Campbell Jackson, Nathan Campbell, and Benjamin Campbell are her grandchildren. She also has step grand children named Lesley Chronister, Dawn Howell, and Todd Motley, as well as 15 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
On the 21st day of February 1944, in the city of Denton, Texas, Philip and Katie were joined in marriage. Katie spent the majority of her career, 45 years, working for the Kingsville Independent school District as a teacher and librarian. North Texas State Teachers College in Denton, Texas is where she earned her degree in education to become a teacher. Texas A&I University in Kingsville is where she received her Master of Arts degree in library science.
