Harper Woods High School Shooting, Children Frightened At School
Harper Woods High School Shooting – When is it going to be different in this planet…It’s gotten to the point where you can’t even have a prom sendoff without someone taking out a pistol and firing. Up in these Harper Woods, my daughter and her companions were quite close to meeting their untimely deaths.I beg God to please let there be no casualties. Praying for King High School and Harper Woods High School as today is the day of the shootings that occurred at both of their proms. I hope and pray that each and every one of the kids made it safely back to their parents tonight.
Every every day brings new dangers in our planet. Both a major candidate for the United Conservative Party and a school district in the southern part of Alberta are accusing the other of distributing false information or, at the absolute least, of being very, extremely incorrect.
Peter Guthrie, the UCP candidate for Airdrie-Cochrane, said on Wednesday, at a candidates forum organized by the Cochrane and District Chamber of Commerce, that Rocky View Schools “outright lied” to parents, “to tell them that they received nothing in the budget.” Guthrie was referring to the fact that Rocky View Schools told parents that they received nothing in the budget.
Guthrie was responding to an email that was sent to parents in the RVS area on May 9. It does note that in the letter, “RVS received the disappointing news that the Alberta government did not include our division in any of the school projects approved for 2023 construction funding.” Continue reading for more information: “RVS was granted design funding for an elementary school in southwest Airdrie and preliminary planning funding for three other schools (new Airdrie high school and new Cochrane and Chestermere elementary schools).”
Guthrie reported to the forum that the school district was granted three of its top four requests, which included portable classrooms and a B school bus. He was referring to the Airdrie, Cochrane, and Chestermere schools.
