Donna Jean Reed Obituary, Death Cause – The resident of Bridgeport, Michigan, Donna Jean Reed. On Thursday, May 25, 2023, a cherished mother and grandmother passed away at home, surrounded by her family. She was a member of that family for the entirety of her life. She had reached the age of 80. In Bridgeport, Michigan, on January 23, 1943, Donna Jean Aldrich was born to the late Clinton D. and Marian G. (Lambert) Aldrich. Her parents have since passed away.
She received her diploma from Frankenmuth High School in 1961 and was very proud of it. Richard Robert Reed became Donna’s lifelong partner when the two were still in school together. They went on dates, developed feelings for one another, and eventually tied the knot on August 19, 1961, at Faith Lutheran Church in Bridgeport. He passed away eighteen years before she did, on August 24, 2000. After that, Donna started a career as a bus driver for Bridgeport Spaulding Schools, where she remained until the day she retired on May 31, 2005. Her mission in life was to serve as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandma throughout her entire life.
She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Bridgeport, Connecticut, as well as a lifetime member of the Bridgeport Gun Club, where she was a board member and the secretary from the years 2001 to 2021. Sewing, painting, woodworking, and playing cards were some of Donna’s favorite hobbies. Her family, especially her grandchildren, were the ones she loved and cared the most about in the world. She had a strong will, but what people will remember most about her is that she had a golden heart, that she was kind to anyone who was in need, and that she actually lived an extraordinary life that was full of many beautiful experiences and tales. This is how she will be remembered forever.
