David Hepworth Obituary, David Hepworth Has Died

David Hepworth Obituary, Death Cause – The passing of David Max Hepworth (Dave), age 70 and a resident of Tulare, took place on May 21st, 2023. On February 13, 1953, Dave Hepworth joined his parents, Bruce and Maxine Hepworth, in the world in Grover, Wyoming. He attended Tennyson High School in Hayward, California, and earned his diploma there. Following his graduation from high school, Dave went on to serve a two-year mission in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. After meeting Connie Cheel for the first time at a party not long after he had returned from his service in the mission field, he reported to his parents that he had finally found the one he would spend the rest of his life with.

After waiting another year, Dave and Connie eventually tied the knot at the LDS temple in Oakland, California. They celebrated 48 years of marriage together. Dave consistently shown a high level of work ethic throughout his life. He was employed in the industry of stainless steel pipefitting for the most of his career, doing duties such as welding, designing, and supervising. Following his retirement, he began a career as a tax counselor.

He was very dedicated to assisting both his local community and his religion in whatever way he could. Dave served as a coach for a number of youth baseball and soccer teams during the course of his life. He served as the AYSO Commissioner for a number of years and was actively engaged in the Associated Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO). Dave’s favorite things to do included things like going fishing, hunting, playing golf, being of service to others, and spending time with his grandkids.

Dave leaves left a legacy that is characterized by selflessness and affection. He never failed to have a grin plastered on his face, was quick with a joke, and delighted in recounting anecdotes from his past to everyone who would lend an attentive ear. Dave was a man who was never at a loss for words. He was able to intuitively see what others need and was fast to provide assistance, as well as a bear embrace and a lot of sound counsel. He loved his wife with all of his heart and was very proud of all eight of his children.

Dave’s wife of 48 years is the only one he leaves behind. He is survived by his wife, Connie Cheel Hepworth, as well as his children Bryan (Kristen) Hepworth, Travis Hepworth, Kylene (Jeremy) Cardon, David Jr. (Ula) Hepworth, Sarah Daniels, Walter (Valerie) Hepworth, Matthew Hepworth, and Logan Hepworth, as well as 16 grandkids. He is also survived by one sister, Delena Otteson, and two brothers, Mike Hepworth and Jeff Hepworth, all of whom are married to Susan Hepworth. On Saturday, June 3rd, at 1:00 PM, a memorial service will be conducted at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which is situated at 451 E Merritt, Ave. in Tulare, California 93274. In lieu of sending flowers, the family has asked for contributions to be given to the local church or to any sports groups in the community.
