Tony Vecellio Obituary, Death Cause – I would want to take this opportunity to offer my most sincere condolences to everybody who knew and loved Tony Vecellio OAM. He passed away not too long ago. I had the pleasure of knowing Tony for over forty years, and during that time I witnessed his unending excitement and dedication to both our community and the sport of athletics. During that time, I also had the opportunity to know Tony as a friend. During this period, I had the honor of becoming his friend, which was a tremendous blessing.
Tony has devoted his entire life to ensuring that our children have the opportunity to participate in athletics and develop friendships that will last a lifetime at the Randwick Botany Little Athletics Centre, a position he has held since his early days as a committee member and most recently as President. He has done this by ensuring that our children have the opportunity to participate in athletics and develop friendships that will last a lifetime at the Randwick Botany Little Athletics Centre.
In appreciation of Tony’s outstanding contributions to our community in the year 2000, the Order of Australia Medal was bestowed upon him as a token of our gratitude. This honor serves as a testament to the extraordinary accomplishments that Tony has accrued throughout the course of his life. He worked at the Little A’s restaurant up until the point where his health prevented him from doing so, and he gave his full attention to his job until the very end. My sincere condolences to you, and may God grant you eternal rest. You will be greatly missed, but our memories of you will last a lifetime and beyond.
