Robert Clemons Obituary, Death Cause – Robert E. Clemons, who had been a resident at the Penfield Place Nursing Home in Penfield for the previous 11 years and had reached the age of 102 at the time of his departure on June 11, 2009, was the patient who passed away there. Mr. Clemons and his late wife Leta spent a large amount of time throughout their lives in the Greigsville neighborhood.

His three sons, Gary (Gail), Gilbert (Marie), and Thomas (Shirley) Clemons, all of Piffard, survive him. So do his seven grandchildren: Patrick, Joshua, Jonathan (Theresa), Lauren, Robert (Lisa), Brent (Suzanne), and Shawn. He also leaves behind a number of nieces and nephews, including a special nephew named Fred Willard and a special niece named Harriet (Norm) Ritchie.

Before he did, his wife, Leta Clemons, and his great granddaughter, Jessica Gere, both passed away. He was born on November 6th, 1906 in Rochester, New York, to parents named Seth and Harriet Harvey Clemons. He was the first child of the couple. Up to the time he was eligible for retirement, Bob was employed at the International Salt Mine in Retsof. Before relocating to Penfield, he was quite active in the Geneseo United Methodist Church, of which he had been a member for a considerable amount of time.

Before moving, he was extremely interested in the church. On Sunday, June 14, 2009, there will be a visiting held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home in Geneseo, which can be found at 111 Main Street. The hours of the visitation are from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Geneseo United Methodist Church, which can be found in Geneseo at Route 63, will be the location of the funeral services that will be held on Monday, June 15, 2009 at 11:00 AM.
