Richard Horvath Obituary, Death Cause – On May 24, 2023, Richard A. Horvath passed away at the age of 79. Richard was born in Passaic, New Jersey, and grew up in Garfield and Lodi. He attended Pope Pius High School in Passaic and Seton Hall University for his undergraduate education. Richard holds a bachelor’s degree from Seton Hall University. Richard had been a resident of Clifton for the previous 9 years and Wayne for the previous 38 years before coming to Glassboro in 2016.
In addition to that, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Richard spent his whole professional life working as a developer in the fashion industry. His responsibilities included creatively managing design, merchandising, sourcing, line development, and local and foreign production. A testament to Richie’s success in his profession is the fact that he always looked his very best.
Richard and his wife had a passion for traveling and enjoyed discovering new places together both on land and at sea. In spite of all of these travels, one of his favorite things to do is to spend quality time with his family while basking in the sun on the Jersey shore. Nothing brought him greater happiness than being with the people he loved without reservation, especially his eight grandchildren, all of whom he doted on and greeted daily with hugs and kisses.
Survived by his wife of 55 years, Sonja (Pavlischak), son Christian (Dr. Michelle Charfen) and their children Kylie, Reese, and Kenny, daughter Jeanice (Ryan) Edge and their children Connor, Riley, and Brady, daughter Cheryl (Rob) Serpiello and their children Mia Joy and Robbie, siblings Beverly (Robert) Lawrence and James (Lori) Horvath, and numerous nieces and nephews. Richard also leaves behind some of his closest friends and cousins, including Tony and Joanne Buck, Sandy and Georgia Horvath, and a large number of other cherished friends and acquaintances.
