Jordyn Sblan Obituary, Death Cause – Rita Figura, who was a resident of Okawville, Illinois, passed away at the St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, on the morning of Monday, April 1, 2013. The hospital is located in St. Louis, Missouri. At the moment of her life when that happened, she had 71 years, 4 months, and 22 days under her belt. On November 9, 1941, Rita Sablan was born on the island of Saipan to her parents, Antonio P. Sablan and Isabel K. (née Ilo) Sablan.
Rita is the daughter of Antonio P. Sablan and Isabel K. (née Ilo) Sablan. She wed Richard Figura on Saipan on January 30, 1961, and he has outlived her. They had their first child together in Saipan. Together, the couple did not produce any offspring. Mrs. Figura held a position as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the medical field during her professional life. She also worked at the Okawville Senior Center, and later, she was a clerk at the Okawville version of The Original Springs Hotel.
She was employed there for a while. She was a devout devotee at the St. Barbara Catholic Church in Okawville, where she served as an active member of the Altar Society for a number of years and attended mass regularly. She enjoyed caring to her flower garden in addition to spending time with her loved ones, especially her children and grandchildren. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and delight.
Left to mourn her passing is her husband Richard of Okawville; 2 sons, Michael (Lisa) Figura of Okawville and Patrick (Theresa) Figura of St. Louis; 3 grandchildren, Amber (Nathan) Bergman of Nashville, IL, Trisha Figura of Okawville and Jezre’el Figura of St. Louis; 4 great grandchildren, Shaelyn Mueller, Kyrani Figura, Ayden Bergman and Liam Milbourn; 11 brothers and sisters, Gregorio I. (Eleanora) Sablan of Okawville, Pedro I.
