Braydon Flagg Car Accident – Michael Gerald Flagg, 69, a resident of Rolling Prairie, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 5:02 p.m. in the solace and comfort of his own home. His passing came without any pain or anguish. On April 23, 1946, in the city of La Porte, Indiana, Leslie and Betty (Egolf) Flagg became parents for the first time. They named their son William. Rolling Prairie High School in Rolling Prairie, Illinois, awarded Michael his high school graduation in 1964.
Indiana State University awarded Michael his master’s degree in education. Both of these establishments can be found in the state of Indiana. His teaching career covered the course of 33 years, during which time he worked at the elementary schools in Westville, Door Village, Riley, and Lincoln in the community in which he was born and raised. Michael was a member of the Rolling Prairie United Methodist Church as well as the Indiana Retired Teachers Association at one point or another in his life.
He coached basketball, flag football, and baseball in little league, and he really enjoyed being a coach for his own children as they participated in the many sports they played when they were younger. Reading and working with wood were two of Michael’s favorite things to do in his spare time. He had a really special relationship with the household dog, Ty. When they tied the knot on August 23, 1969 in Kendallville, Indiana, Suzanne (Wilson) Flagg, who is still alive today, was his wife. The ceremony took place.
Betty Flagg of Rolling Prairie, who is his mother; two sons, Matt Flagg of New Carlisle and Jason Flagg of Mill Creek, who are both married to Monica; four siblings, Cheri Taylor of Hudson Lake Township, Rondi (Mike) Jones of La Porte, John Flagg of Concord, Georgia, and Mark Flagg of Rolling Prairie; and four grandchildren, Braydon, Jayden, Morgan, and Lauren. His mother lives in Rolling Prairie.
