Terry Zahn Obituary Virginia, Terry Zahn Has Passed Away

Terry Zahn Obituary, Death Cause – Terrence C. “Terry” Zahn, 74, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 6:15 a.m. in the Genesis Good Samaritan ER that is located in Zanesville. He had been battling an illness for a significant amount of time prior to his passing. On the Monday, April 6th, 1936, he was born in the city of Lafayette, Indiana to his parents, Powers D. Zahn and Helen (Childs) Zahn Shoemaker. He was named after his grandfather, Powers D. Zahn. In the St. Johns Episcopal Church in Lafayette, Indiana, on June 1, 1958, he wed Delsie K. (Dalton) Zahn. The church is located in the city of Lafayette, Indiana.

Terry attended Lafayette Jefferson High School, where he graduated with his high school diploma in 1954. He then continued his education at Hiram College, which is located in Hiram, Ohio. Finally, he attended the School of Industrial Engineering at Purdue University, where he acquired his degree in industrial engineering. Before he established his own business, he spent a significant amount of time working for the Nelson McCoy Pottery, where he eventually rose through the ranks to become the plant manager and Vice President.

For the most part of a quarter of a century, he co-managed the Friendship Pottery in Roseville, Ohio, with his lifelong companion Frank Rossi, who was also his business partner. Terry was quite involved with the St. James Episcopal Church for a good number of years. He was a member of the congregation there. In addition to that, he was a life member of the Purdue Alumni Association and a member of the Mooresville Lodge #78 Indiana Freemasons.

He had been a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis 32nd Degree Masons for the past 50 years. He was also a member of the Zanesville Country Club, the Coast Guard Auxiliary, the Sandusky Yacht Club, the American Ceramic Society, and the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis.
