Mary Murdock Obituary, Death Cause – Mary Etta Murdock, age 75, of Beckley, West Virginia, passed away at the Beckley Healthcare center on May 23, 2023, after a long and happy life. She was born in Dameron, West Virginia, on June 27, 1947, the daughter of Orla Clifford Murdock and Nancy Katherine Houck Murdock, who both passed away before her birth. She was a devout member of the Baptist faith and a graduate of Trap Hill High School.

She was preceded in death by her brother Richard Henry Murdock, her sister Connie Susan Adams, her maternal grandparents Luke and Elizabeth Houck, and her nephews James Richard Flannery and John Joseph Flannery. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her brother Richard Henry Murdock. Mary will be cremated, as it was her final request before her passing. On Saturday, May 27, 2023, at one o’clock in the afternoon, a graveside service will be held in the Old Greenbrier Memorial Cemetery, with Michael Flannery serving as the officiant.

Mary will be remembered as a kind and kind person who put others’ needs before her own and always put others before herself. She took pleasure in activities such as sewing and crafting crafts, as well as spending time with her family.
