John Ragucci Obituary, Death Cause – On Friday, May 19, 2023, Ragucci, John J., who resided in Somerville, passed away after a brief battle with illness. He had 78 years under his belt. Born and raised in Boston. He was the son of Joseph J. and Josephine (Giannino) Ragucci, both of whom passed away before him. John was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching any sporting event, especially when it featured a New England team. You could always hear him rooting for his favorite team while he sat back with a Miller Lite.
He enjoyed being a jokester, attending the feast of St. Anthony, and playing darts in his spare time. He cherished the time he got to spend with his wife and children, especially his grandkids; he considered them to be the joy of his life. John was a member of the Pipefitters Local 537 for more than half a century and worked there as an HVAC mechanic. In addition to that, he was a well-liked member of the St. Anthony’s Club located in the North End. Because John had such a selfless love for his family and friends, he will be greatly missed by everyone.
Ann T. (Miscavage) Ragucci was married to John for 39 years, and they had a deep and abiding love. He was the loving father of Joseph Ragucci and his wife Sondra, who live in the state of Washington; Christina “Chris” Grace and her husband William “Billy” Grace, who live in Barrington, New Hampshire; Kimberly “Kim” Volz and her husband Scott, who live in Somerville; and Jean Ragucci, who lives in the state of Florida. The devoted grandfather of Tyler, Kaylie, Kyle, Sophia, Scott, Brinley, and Jayce, as well as the great grandfather of Kailah and Alexis, both of whom are due to be born in the month of June this year.
The devoted brother of Carmine Ragucci of Maine and his late wife Maria, Theresa Sabbio and her husband Frank of Florida, Robert Ragucci and his wife Christine of Massachusetts, Angelina “Angie” Marco of Massachusetts and her late husband Johnny, and Geraldine Romano, who passed away. Also survived by Theresa’s children: Carmine Ragucci, Theresa Sabbio, Robert Ragucci, and Frank Sabbio. Additionally, he is survived by a large number of adoring nieces and nephews.
