Joan Priestley Obituary, Death, Funeral And Visitation

Joan Priestley Obituary, Death Cause – For the Sake of Preserving and Honoring Joan Priestley’s Memory. Joan, who had lived on Pendennis Avenue all of her life, passed away at the Prince of Wales Hospice on the 16th of May at the age of 86. Her passing was peaceful and unruffled. The cherished wife of George will be greatly missed by her children Stephen and Robert, her granddaughter Rachel, and her daughter-in-laws Jan and Joy. She will also be missed by her husband.

After the conclusion of the service, a donation box will be available at the church for people to place their contributions in. Following the funeral and interment, the family of Joan would like to extend a warm welcome to anybody who knew her to join them for refreshments at the Soldiers in South Elmsall. This invitation will be extended after the service and burial. During this difficult time, we ask that you show as much kindness as you possibly can by leaving messages of love and support for those who are Joan’s closest friends and family.

In addition to this, Rachel will always hold a very special place in her heart. Everyone who had the opportunity to get to know her will feel a profound sense of loss at her passing.
St. Mary’s Church will be the location of Joan’s funeral on Friday, June 2, at 11 a.m., when the service is to be held. Following the conclusion of the service, her burial will take place in Moorthorpe Cemetery. Only the family should receive flowers at this time.  Instead of sending flowers, the family has asked that donations be sent to the Prince of Wales Hospice in place of floral expressions of sympathy.
