Jason Tagliaferri Obituary, Death Cause – On October 16, 2015, Stanley W. Bogacz, Jr., a native of Rome, New York, passed away at the age of 62 while he was a patient at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center. On April 16, 1953, Stan was brought into this world in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Both of his parents, Stanley Bogacz Sr. and Dorothy Abbott Bogacz, passed away before he was born.
The Utica Free Academy awarded him a diploma upon completion of his studies there. It was on October 27th, 1973, in Utica, that he tied the knot with Esther Narbone, and the wedding took place there. Stan was a journeyman at the Revere Copper & Brass location in Rome, which meant that he was responsible for repairing anything and anything that needed fixing.
Stan enjoyed bowling, fishing, and being a member of the Trenton Fish and Game Club in his younger years. Bowling and fishing were two of Stan’s favorite interests. He golfed on a regular basis and was constantly on the lookout for new ways to improve his game. Stan is survived by his devoted wife, Esther; his daughter, Holly (Jason) Crandall of Utica; his two sons, Adam (Melissa) Bogacz and Stanley III (Michele) Bogacz, all of Rome; and his cherished grandchildren, Colin, Elena, Ian, Liam, and Scott (Bridgette) Tagliaferri.
Stan was born in Rome, New York, and spent much of his life in Rome. On January 15, 2019, Stan peacefully went away. In addition, he will be survived by a great-grandchild who is as of yet unborn but will be delivered in the months that will follow after his passing. The Reverend Paul F. Angelicchio will preside over the funeral services that will be held at the Barry Funeral Home, which can be found at 807 W. Chestnut Street, on Wednesday evening at seven o’clock. The funeral home is located at 807 W. Chestnut Street. It is planned to be a private ceremony when the body is laid to rest.
