David Knott Obituary, Death Cause – David, who had reached the age of 80 when he died away at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on May 17, 2023, did so in a composed manner and while he was surrounded by members of his family. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 47 years, Hedda Knott, who passed away first. In addition to a huge number of nieces and nephews, he is survived by his daughter Joy and her husband Elliott Bickle of Cardiff
California; his brother Robert (Bob) and his wife Lillian Knott; his brother Bill and his wife Bonnie Knott; and his daughter Joy’s husband Elliott Bickle. Hedda Knott had already left this world when he did. He will be fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Heidi and her husband John Hall, his nephew Michael Hall and his wife Shannon Brand, as well as by a great number of other relatives and friends. He will be sorely missed by everyone.
David spent his whole professional life working for the LCBO as a manager at a variety of sites across the province of Ontario, including Wilberforce, Hagersville, and Guelph. He was a pleasant-mannered man who enjoyed the thrill of finding a good deal, who thrived on the satisfaction of triumphing over his rivals in card games and horseshoes, and who was a devoted fan of golf, baseball, and hockey.
In respect for David’s dying wishes, his body was cremated in the manner that he would have preferred. There will be a gathering in memory of the person who has passed away, but the time and place have not been determined at this point. The task of arranging the funeral and burial services has been given to Wareing Cremation Services, which can be found in Tillsonburg at 346 Simcoe Street. Donations made in memory of a loved one to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada are gratefully received and can be sent either immediately or through the mail using a check.
