Christopher Bergman Obituary, Death Cause – After a protracted battle with sickness, Christopher Alexander Bergman, 55, the devoted husband of Amy (Brady) Bergman, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, May 19, 2023. Christopher Alexander Bergman was married to Amy (Brady) Bergman. Chris’s birth took place on March 3, 1968, and his parents were Lois (Chowski) and Frederick Bergman, who have now passed away. He received his high school diploma from Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake and then continued his education at Suny Oswego, where he received his bachelor’s degree in computer information science. After spending several summers volunteering at Camp Boyhaven in Middle Grove while he was a member of the Boy Scouts, he eventually achieved the rank of Eagle Scout there. Wonderful recollections of beach dunes, whale watches, and the delectable local seafood were created during the family’s yearly vacations to Cape Cod.
Everyone who knew Chris was able to experience the true generosity and kindness that he exuded. He never stopped giving of himself to his family, his friends, and the work that he did. He valued the time he spent with his wife Amy and stepdaughter Dora the most out of his entire family. They had so much fun exploring the Adirondacks on foot and by boat, and they cherished the time they got to spend on Assateague Island watching the wild horses run free. Chris found great satisfaction in spending time with the family’s dogs and joining in on their many outings. Chris would most often be found at an Irish music festival in the area, either helping to park cars as a volunteer or spending time with friends and family while having a pint or two. Chris was a prominent member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians in Saratoga, where he held the positions of President and Treasurer. It was a lot of fun for him to go on vacation with his brother to places like music festivals, Yosemite National Park, Las Vegas, and New Orleans. Because of all of the time and effort that he put into his role as a Network Engineer, Chris earned the respect of both his colleagues and the industry leaders in the field of technology.
Chris is survived by his wife Amy, stepdaughter Dora Clifford, and father Frederick. In addition, he is survived by his brother Russell Bergman, aunt Ruth (Chowski) Rendle, and uncle Ralph Belmont, as well as his cousins Mary Theresa (Bergmann) Carlin, Christina (Bergmann) Mulligan, Colleen Bergmann, William Bergmann, Susan (Rendle) Cooper, and Stephen Rendle, and all of his family through marriage. In addition to his mother, Lois (Chowski) Bergman, Chris is predeceased by his grandparents Mary (Highland) Bergmann and Alexander and Anna Chowski as well as uncles William Bergmann, Steven Rendle, and aunts Mary Bergmann and Margaret “Peg” (Bergmann) Belmont.
