Allen McAnnally Obituary, Death Cause – On Saturday, May 27th, at 11:00 AM, the funeral services for Hanceville resident Allen McAnnally will be held at the chapel of the Hanceville Funeral Home. in the conclusion of the service, the burial will take place in Garden City Cemetery. The ceremony will be presided over by Reverend Lonnie Goodwin. On Friday, May 26th, the Hanceville Funeral Home will be open to the public from the hours of 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM for visitation.

He also took his retirement from Louisiana Pacific and was active in the Midway Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Those who are left to cherish his memory are his wife of 59 years, Patty McAnnally; his daughter, Sheila (Al) Garcia; his grandchildren, Leo Allen Garcia and Aimee Trihn; his sister, Gennette (Richard) Hancock; his niece, Dana McCutcheon; his nephew, Greg Hancock; as well as a host of other great nieces and nephews; and his cherished pets, Tom-Tom and Harley. Mr. McAnnally’s aunt, Clara Greathouse, passed away before him, following in the footsteps of Mr. McAnnally’s parents.

Mr. McAnnally was born in Cullman, Alabama on April 2, 1943. His parents, Sammie and Lillian (Tanner) McAnnally, passed away before his birth. On the 23rd of May, 2023, he passed away at the age of eighty years old in the Cullman Regional Medical Center in Cullman, Alabama. Allen has a total of 27 years of experience in law enforcement, during which time he held the position of Chief of Police.
