Oretha Peal Obituary, Death Cause – On May 3, 2023, Oretha James passed away while she was at her residence in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was the year 73. On January 28, 1950, she was welcomed into the world by her mother, Rosalie Hull-Turner, and her late father, St. Claire Raymond. She received her high school diploma from George Washington Carver Senior High and formerly held a job in the caregiving industry.
She had been a member of the Institute of Divine Metaphysical Research in Gretna, Louisiana for a significant amount of time. She will be remembered by her five children, Lamar James, Duane James (Sandra), Rica James, Derland James (Kandice), and Justin James; her nine grandchildren, Syncere James, Dorian James, Devon James, Symphony James, Justice James, Jessa James, Zianna James, Andre James, and Desmond James; and her four siblings, Emma Williams, Keytree Turner (Michelle), Neacy Turner, and Cedric Turner (Danielle).
She also leaves behind a large number of other members of her family, such as nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins, who will carry her memories with them always. Her husband, Ernest James, her father, St. Claire Raymond, her brothers Morris Hull, Nathaniel Hull, and John Henry Turner Jr., and her sister, Patri Williams all passed away before her. The Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at The Boyd Family Funeral Home, which is located at 5001 Chef Menteur Hwy., New Orleans, Louisiana 70126. Those who were close to the deceased are encouraged to come. The viewing will get underway at 9:30 in the morning.
