Northern High School In Durham Lockdown – A security perimeter has been established around Northern High School in Durham as a result of police action in the area. Just before 2:00 in the afternoon, a modified lockdown was implemented at Northern High School in Durham. On Wednesday morning, students and staff at Alston Ridge Middle School were forced to leave the building after receiving a bomb threat.

The Wake County Public School System includes Alston Ridge Middle School as one of its campuses. In the city of Cary, you may find it on Fussell Avenue. Parents were informed via a message sent home by the school that their children were not in danger, but that an anonymous person had posed a bomb threat on a Google document. The school is currently considered to be in a secure category by the Durham Public Schools. That requires all of the employees, pupils, and teachers to remain inside the building at all times and keep the doors to the outside secured.

Officers from the Durham Police Department responded to Long Crescent Drive after receiving a report of a person armed with a firearm, according to the department. As soon as they arrived, the suspect vehicle drove off without them. After then, the vehicle was observed close to Northern High School.
