Melissa Kennedy Obituary, Melissa Kennedy Has Passed Away
Melissa Kennedy Obituary, Death Cause – On May 19, 2023, veterinarian and university lecturer Melissa Anne Kennedy, who held a DVM and a PhD, passed away. She had obtained a doctoral degree. Melissa was brought into the world on January 13, 1959, in the city of Knoxville in the state of Tennessee. She attended the University of Tennessee to earn both her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and her Doctor of Philosophy degrees. After that, she worked for the majority of her professional life as an Associate Professor at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, where she instructed students who were studying to become veterinarians.
Her passing will also be deeply felt by a large number of people in the wider community. She will not only be remembered fondly by her family and friends, but also by a significant number of members of the general public. Melissa has made it quite apparent that she has a strong preference for maintaining the highest level of confidentiality throughout the funeral rites. In lieu of sending flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made in honor of their loved one to the Young-Williams Animal Center, the UTCVM CAIT Program (tiny.utk.edu/givetocait), or the animal shelter in your community (depending on where you live). You can make your donation at tiny.utk.edu/givetocait.
Because she was dedicated to the cause of animal conservation in all of its forms, she made multiple trips to Africa throughout the course of her lifetime. This was one of the reasons why she is so well known. Her parents, Thomas Judson Kennedy Jr. and Barbara Benton Kennedy, had both passed away before their daughter was born. Her birth came after both of her parents had died. Her brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Judy Kennedy, and Michael and Laura Kennedy, as well as her nephews Elijah (Lauren), Joshua (Susan), and Logan Kennedy, grand-nieces Grace and Cecilia Kennedy, and a huge number of friends and former pupils, will miss her terribly.
