Josiah Estell Obituary, Death Cause – Josiah Daniel Estell, age 24, a native of Tremont, Illinois, fell away suddenly at his home in Champaign on Sunday, May 21, 2023. He was found to have an unusual illness. He was a Champaign, Illinois, native. His parents, Brian Estell and Carla Ramsey Estell, welcomed him into the world on May 19, 1999, in the city of Ocala, which is located in the state of Florida. Carla Ramsey Estell was his mother.

Surviving are his parents, Brian and Carla Estell of Tremont; his siblings, James (Dominika) Estell of Cincinnati, OH, Rebekah (Caleb) Farnsworth of Cincinnati, OH, Jeremiah (Victoria) Estell of Peoria, Jonathan Estell of Tremont, and Hannah Estell of Tremont; maternal grandmother, Claudia (Bill) Stanridge of Leesburg, FL; nephews, Jimmy and Theo Estell; niece, Daisy Farnsworth; his cat, Fern; several aunts and uncles and other extended family members.

His great-grandfather Charlie Ramsey, his paternal grandparents Tom and Carlita Estell, and his uncle Brian Ramsey all passed away before he was born. Before he was born, he was named after his great-grandfather. Also, his great-great-grandfather’s name was Brian Ramsey when he was alive. Josiah was a student at the University of Illinois, where he was pursuing a degree in Psychology toward the completion of his academic requirements.

Additionally, he received his education from the University of Illinois. In spite of the fact that he had never received any formal training in music, he was able to teach himself how to play a number of instruments all on his own. In addition to his dedication to being involved in the community in his neighborhood, he found that pursuing his passion for photography brought him a great deal of joy.
