Grace Mcknight Obituary, Death Cause – On Sunday, May 21, 2023, Grace Ellington “Ellie” McKnight, who was 18 years old and lived in Paducah, Kentucky, passed away. On March 18, 2005, Ellie was brought into the world by her parents, Paul McKnight and Erin Gwinn Coale. She was a Junior at Paducah Tilghman High School, where she was known for her vivacious, outgoing, and full-of-life demeanor and where she played soccer for two years.

She was very active in the Young Life organization that served the Greater Paducah area and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Paducah. Ellie’s favorite things in the world were animals, her friends, Kentucky Lake, and beach vacations. She also had a soft spot in her heart for a good medium-rare filet and a loaded baked potato. She never passed up an opportunity to dance or entertain, and she was captivated by the majesty of sunrises and sunsets.

People will always remember Ellie for having a demeanor that was sincere, caring, and personable. Hugs were never in short supply whenever one was in Ellie’s company, and the love and contentment that she exuded was palpable. She was always friendly and personable, and she had the capacity to make others laugh by laughing at herself and joining in with her.

Ellie is survived by her mother, Erin Coale of Paducah, her father, Paul McKnight, Sr. (Misty) of Paducah, her three brothers, Paul McKnight, Jr., Nolan Waller, and Jack Coale, all of Paducah; her sister, Hannah Waller of Paducah; her paternal grandparents, John and Brenda McKnight of Paducah; her maternal grandparents, Anne and James Gwinn of Paducah; her uncle

On Friday, May 26, 2023, at eleven o’clock in the morning, funeral services will be performed at Heartland Church. After the service, burial will take place at the Mt. Kenton cemetery. At Heartland Church, visitation will get underway at 4:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, May 25, 2023. Following the funeral ceremony, there will be a gathering in honor of the deceased person’s life that will take place in the Youth Center of Heartland Church.
