Cecile Tanguay Obituary, Death Cause – We would like to extend our most sincere condolences to Cecile Tanguay’s family and friends in the wake of Cecile Tanguay’s demise. Cecile Tanguay was a resident of Waterbury, Connecticut, and she passed away recently. Cecile passed away on May 21, 2023, at the age of 76, and she was survived by a large number of loved ones who are now mourning her passing. Her siblings Louis G. Gelinas and Jeanne Fortunati, as well as her parents Elzear Sr. Gelinas and Alberta Gelinas (Matteau), all passed dead before she was born. Her parents were all named Alberta. In her family, she was the only child ever born. Those who are left behind following her passing include her children Raymond Tanguay (Jennifer Lent), Robert Tanguay (Tina), and Rosemarie Hughes (George); her grandchildren Jonathan Tanguay, George Hughes IV, Amber Tanguay, Ryan Hughes, Caden Hughes, and Autum Tanguay; and her brother Elzear Gelinas Jr. She is survived by her immediate family as well as a number of nieces and nephews on both sides of the family.
Visitation is scheduled to take place at the Woodtick Memorial (420 Woodtick Rd, Wolcott, CT 06716) on the evening of Thursday, May 25th, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at the same location on the evening of Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 7:30 PM. The date and time of the service are still to be determined. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Oliver Wolcott Tech Booster Club, which is situated at the Oliver Wolcott Technical High School on Oliver Street in Torrington, Connecticut. The address for the Oliver Wolcott Technical High School is 75 Oliver Street.
